Sarah McCahon

Sarah has been a dyslexia assessor for more than 20 years and she is also qualified to assess for dyspraxia as a specific learning difficulty for those aged 16+. Working holistically, she has a wealth of experience in identifying other needs that may benefit from being formally explored by other types of professionals. She brings a professional yet very friendly approach to her work, always striving to make the experience of being assessed really positive. Having successfully renewed her assessment practising certificate several times, she offers full diagnostic assessments for children from the age of 8 and adults of all ages. She also offers comprehensive needs assessments for children aged 6 and 7. Assessments are conducted at Sarah's home just outside East Grinstead but she offers assessments over Zoom for adults and students in year 7+ which allows international clients to see her too. She provides immediate verbal feedback to explain her conclusion and then detailed but very practical reports with strategies to help now and well into the future. Sarah is about to commence her training to become an accredited ADHD coach and will soon be launching workplace needs assessments for adults.

Naomi Pearson

Naomi is a highly qualified Specialist Dyslexia Assessor and Teacher with over 20 years’ experience working in education. She holds an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) and is registered as a PATOSS accredited Dyslexia Assessor. She offers diagnostic assessments for 8–15-year-olds, through a calm and positive approach, to get the best out of your child on the assessment day. Detailed and targeted recommendations for school, home and specialist teaching will be provided.

Natalie Alderton

Natalie, founder of Thrive Dyslexia, is a qualified dyslexia assessor and ADHD coach, inspired by her own experience navigating her son's diagnoses. She offers formal dyslexia assessments for learners aged 8 to 24, as well as tailored one-to-one tutoring in reading, writing, maths, and study skills using engaging, multisensory methods. Natalie is committed to helping students build confidence and reach their potential. Her professional qualifications include a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia, a specialist SpLD Assessment Award, and a Certificate in Psychometric Testing (CPT3A), which qualifies her to conduct diagnostic assessments and access arrangements. She is also a registered practitioner with the British Psychological Society and a member of PATOSS, the UK’s leading professional body for SpLD specialists. In addition, she is accredited as an ADHD coach through the ADHD Foundation. Natalie stresses the importance of high-quality, in-person assessments by trained specialists over online screening tools.
