Unfortunately our programme is for children who are starting Year 5 this September. Please add your child to our tuition waitlist here:
Once we get to know your child's strengths and areas for development, we will provide feedback and suggest local schools that may suit your child. We would recommend visiting the open days at the schools you are considering. Include local state schools and independent schools that may be slightly further away.
Sessions run weekly during the school term. We don't have sessions over the half term and term breaks. Though we will circle over topics to reinforce them, new concepts will be learned each week so regular participation is important.
It's important for children to be prepared so we can understand why you may be looking for as much support as possible. However, we would suggest that if you already have a tutor working with your child, you continue with that tutor as they have built a rapport and know your child.
You will be invoiced each half term and the cost per half term is £195. This includes your child's learning folder, all learning resources and copies of past papers. A deposit of £50 is required to secure your child's place in the programme.
5.15 PM - 6.45 PM
The dates the first half term this autumn are:
Wednesday September 11
Wednesday September 18
Wednesday September 25
Wednesday October 2
Wednesday October 9
Wednesday October 16
We differentiate our instruction and incorporate multi-sensory learning into all our lessons. Please share any additional information with us in your registration form and we will speak with you about how we can best accommodate your child. It's important to us that this programme is a good fit for your child.
The term 11+ also refers to the selective entry process for fee-based independent schools here in Surrey. Children will sit entrance examinations in the autumn and winter. Some schools run the ISEB pre-test and others have their own set of papers that they use.
Kersten and Jennifer are qualified and experienced teachers who have many decades of classroom teaching between them. Find out more about them here: https://reigatetutoring.co.uk/our-tutor-team
We are conveniently located in the Reigate Community Centre which is behind the Morrisons, off the high street. A great location if you need to do some shopping or other errands whilst your child is learning.
Yes, the team at Reigate Tutoring does offer 1:1 tuition however we are currently over-subscribed and are taking children onto the waitlist: https://forms.gle/V1bux5weh2HTwYTZA
Offering this programme is a way for us to reach more children each week.
We believe that the best learning comes from on-going revision which gradually builds up skills needed for the English, maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning assessments. We will pre-teach Year 6 topics that are often not covered by the time your child sits their entrance examination. In maths for example, the curriculum topic of mean is often not taught until the end of the spring term!
Our programme will comprehensively cover the topics and skills that your child may find on the entrance examination. Completion of the programme does not guarantee entry into a specific senior school.
We will help to prepare your child so they have confidence going into their entrance examinations but offer criteria varies from year to year and there are many other factors to consider. We always suggest having a couple back up options.
